Stuart Benjamin

Stuart is a founding director of Lytras & Benjamin and an experienced professional accountant specialising in forensic accounting and corporate advisory services.  His particular focus is commercial litigation, intellectual property and technology commercialisation.

Stuart has prepared expert evidence for the Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of Queensland, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of Queensland, Queensland Commercial & Consumer Tribunal and Queensland Shop Leases Tribunal.

Stuart’s background includes corporate advisory services, information technology management, systems controls analysis, financial accounting and tax return preparation. He regularly presents on a range of topics, most particularly regarding intellectual property valuation and litigation.

Stuart has over 17 years professional accounting experience including eight years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Business Services and Global Risk Management Solutions divisions in Brisbane.  He was also in a commercial manager role with a multi-national firm based in Brisbane.

Stuart holds a Bachelor of Business with Distinction, a Masters of Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. He has received a number of academic prizes during the course of his studies.
